Chile to Argentina...

I´d been told that, as there are only three buses a week to Salta, that I should book in advance which I did. In hind sight, I should have stayed in San Pedro, and climbed one of the 6000+ meter volcanoes on New Year´s day. I only thought about as I was sat on the bus as we pulled out of San Pedro :-( not to worry...

After a few formalities at the Chilean border - and another visa stamp - I was on my way over the mountains to Argentina.

The 10 hour bus jounrey is through some dramatic scenery - which included a rather interesting electric storm at the top of one of the mountain passes.
